START MARKETING ON FACEBOOK IN 2020!
What Is
Facebook Marketing?
Facebook Marketing is a platform that provides a variety of
targeted paid advertisements and organic posts so that brands can display their
products and services in front of a broad audience. In the past decade,
Facebook has transformed from the most famous social media on the Internet to
one of the largest markets.
1.
Set Up Your Facebook Page
Setting up a public page for your small business is as easy
as visiting facebook.com/pages/create.php. Choose a category that describes
your business and fill in some basic details, such as your business name and
(if applicable), its address.
Then, Facebook will send you to your Page template, where
you can add a profile photo, as well as more detailed information such as hours
(see the "Information" tab in the left sidebar). You can also
identify other page management (see "Information">
"Administrator"), add more multimedia and events
("Information"> "Application") and adjust settings to
control how users do for your page Make contributions
("Information"> "Administrative Rights").
2.
Invite Your Friends
After setting up the page, you will want to invite your
friends to "like" your page. After accumulating 25 followers, you can
set a vanity URL, such as facebook.com/mashable.
Go to the username page, select the page name from the
drop-down menu, and enter the name you want to use. Remember, you cannot change
the URL of the page after confirmation.
3.
Customize Your Page
There are many applications that can help you customize
pages other than the standard layouts. These layouts can be found in the
Application Catalog.
There, you will find apps that you can use to create polls,
add more content to the "Info" tab, provide coupons, display YouTube
videos, and more.
4.
Convert Existing Customers Into Favorite
Customers
Michael Lazerow, CEO of Buddy Media, suggested that once you
are confident in the appearance of the web page, the next step is to use all
the media assets you have-your mailing lists, email communications and
signatures, store windows, websites, business cards, etc.-to increase you Fan
base. Let them know that you are there and immediately encourage them to make
connections, such as discounts or gifts.
"This will significantly increase your
conversions," Lazerow said. "Because your Page is a ghost town at
this time, you need to motivate people to make connections from the beginning.
The best way to do this is to give them a'thank you'."
5.
Participate
When building a fan base, you need to provide a series of
interesting content to entertain and attract fans.
Anna Strahs, the owner of a gluten-free bakery in Richmond,
Virginia, attributes half of her business to Facebook. She said that she
attracted fans by posting pictures of the food that was grilled that day,
hoping to get more rewards.
She said: “When we post pictures of specific items, we will
immediately get orders for those items.” This is not surprising, because they
look delicious. Strahs said she will also release a quiz in exchange for free
baked goods, and winners can pick up the goods at one of the two farmers’
markets two days a week.
Her suggestion? Post frequently to make posts count. She
emphasized that beautiful pictures with contextual captions will go a long way.
She explained: “The most important thing is to get people to comment on and
interact with your page so that it appears in other people’s news sources.”
It is also important to keep the content fresh, update with
a real voice, and develop your Facebook strategy over time.
6.
Advertise
After converting most of your existing customer base into
Facebook fans, you will want to start attracting other users through targeted
Facebook ads. This is still the most effective way to increase the number of
"likes", said principal researcher Maureen Mullen at the luxury think
tank L2 .
You can target users in areas near you by gender, age, alma
mater, employer, and even users who "like" competitors. You can also
target users on their birthdays, for example, if they come to your store that
day, provide them with free ice cream cones. You can also use coupons and other
incentives to attract existing fans to encourage them to park or place orders
at your retail location.
